Remothering | Step One: Intentional Foundations
In step one, we kick off the remothering journey with foundational tools for intentional change. We start by learning to work WITH our body's biology and inherent wisdom. That's important because before we can break free from outdated patterns that no longer serve, we need to be able to spot them. And then, when we do spot them, we are going to want to be self-compassionate so we can work in relationship with ourselves to make the changes we are setting out to create.
Our brains and nervous systems are always looking out for us, but they are not always responding to the CURRENT circumstances. Which is why in step one, we explore the "of-course-ness" of the adaptations our wise younger selves created. And we learn how to communicate with the parts of our brain that don't speak in words.

In step two, we learn how to spot the clues that we have an adaptive behavior because what we don't see, does affect us - yikes! But the good news is that once we recognize them, we can use the tools we'll be learning in step three to be more choiceful in how we move forward.
Remothering | Step Three: Break Free from Outdated Programming
Having identified some of our unhelpful outdated patterns, the next step is to learn tools to break free from that programming. In step three, we lean into the tools and techniques for updating patterns and rewiring with intention.
We learn about our identity beliefs (where they hide, and how they impact us). We take a look at resistance - how and why it shows up. We learn how to prune our limiting beliefs and create new ones ON PURPOSE.
We also learn about boundaries.
We look at boundaries on the spectrum from porous to rigid
We learn about functional boundaries in action
Plus, the categories of boundaries that build our scaffolding (time boundaries, financial boundaries, psychological boundaries, containing boundaries, energetic boundaries)
And we learn expert tips & scripts for communicating boundaries
Remothering | Step Four: Master Faster Access to Inner Wisdom
Imagine that feeling of "I've got you" in all situations. Experiencing attunement, wise counsel, and belonging. To know that someone has our back. To feel witnessed, accepted, protected, nurtured, loved, and respected. As we are. And as we are becoming.
In step four, we'll deepen our inner-connection so we can turn within to access the mother qualities we each seek. We also learn how to quiet mental chatter and hijacked thoughts using a tool I call "spotting the interlopers".
Remothering | Step Five: Thriving Forward
One of the common results from the remothering work is greater access to our own internal resources. What that means is, as we reach step five, thriving forward takes on new meanings. Which is why step five is 2-parts. In part one, we integrate the work from the first four steps with journal prompts, self-reflection, and some really cool exercises. Then, in part two, with our increased internal resources, the deepened access to our inner-wisdom, and greater clarity, we point our focus towards what's next.

The ultimate goal of the remothering work is to thrive forward with a powerful sense of alignment. Remothering is a feminine expression of stepping into our power with strength and grace. In a culture that models power-over, remothering is rooted in power-with.
